Farewell Brentwood, Hello Romford!

December 11, 2020 -
Farewell Brentwood

Brentwood was our first showroom, and at its time of opening it provided ample space for us to showcase all our best mobility products. But as the years have gone by and we’ve opened 20 new stores all over the UK, with each one becoming larger and better, we decided that it was time for Essex and East London to get a mobility showroom that it deserves. So for this reason, we have decided to close Brentwood and move our expertise to a new showroom in Romford.

Like our other new mobility showrooms, Romford will be much larger and more spacious and provide room to display and demonstrate all our mobility products, including our range of adjustable beds, riser recliners, bath lifts and other products for the home, as well as mobility scooters, powerchairs, wheelchairs and outdoor walking aids. There will be more products to see, a wider range of chairs to sample and more space to try out walking aids, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

We moved to Brentwood in 2009 at a time when the biggest part of our business was mail order and telephone sales, so we chose a location with a large warehouse. What we did not foresee at the time was the huge customer demand for larger mobility showrooms.

Until quite recently, the mobility market was made up of mostly small independent shops, which are often in central locations and quite cramped, with a limited range of stock on demonstration and poor parking facilities for customers. Since opening our larger showrooms on the edge of major towns and cities, we have found that customers appreciate the additional space, both inside the showrooms, and also outside where we can provide ample customer parking, with several disabled parking bays,  right next to our shops.

Our head office operations and warehouse will still operate from our central Essex location, but the retail store will soon be closing down and migrating over to Romford. For all our past Brentwood customers, rest assured, the same team will be at Romford to greet you and show you around.

It is with a little sadness that we close Brentwood, but we must move on and build a bigger and better mobility store for this region. CareCo Romford will be opening its doors just after Christmas, on 28th December - we look forward to seeing you all there in the New Year!
