About CareCo

Before we get to know you, let’s tell you a bit about us.

We’re CareCo, the UK’s leading mobility retailer.

And we’re all about making every day better for the people who need our products.

What started in a barn in 2009 has spread to almost every nook and cranny of the UK, with new showrooms opening every year, new products being developed to do things other mobility aids simply don’t, and new people to join in and build a better day for our customers. Like you!

Making our growth, your growth

In 2022, we moved to our brand-new, light-filled headquarters just outside of Braintree, Essex. With over 100,000 sq ft of warehouse space, a bespoke photography studio and a Customer Experience floor that does things a little differently (for lots of good reasons), this has been one of a handful of major investments into not just the business but our people over the last couple of years. While all that was happening, we’ve been busy overhauling our showrooms with bright and modern designs that bring as much joy to our people as they do our customers. And we’ve opened distribution centres in places like Leeds and Dudley, with more centres mapped out so that we can deliver our engineering and support services to the whole of the UK.

It all forms part of our vision to ensure that wherever you are, from Braintree to Bristol, Cardiff or Canterbury, you’ll be part of CareCo from day one, going home at the end of the day safe in the knowledge that you’ve done your bit to help somebody with their day to day struggles.

Our 'Every day, better' culture

Doing all of this takes more than a dash of dedication from our people. As we continue to open new showrooms and help more customers all over the UK, we’ve become really quite fond of them. You’ll be working alongside a fantastic community of people who genuinely care about helping our customers find their better everyday, from the mobility experts who man our phones and staff our showrooms, to the delivery drivers, warehouse operatives and engineers who keep everything running super smoothly.

One of the things of which we’re truly proud is just how many individuals in our teams have grown alongside us, accompanying us on three different moves as we’ve expanded through the years.

CareCo partners with Health Assured to bring all employees an Employee Assistance Programme. With this comes a 24-hour confidential helpline to support you through any of life’s issues. This includes financial, legal, family, housing, alcohol, gambling or relationship issues, as well as many others. As well as telephone support there’s online support for you, too.


Starting your CareCo journey

Applying for a position

When you read about a vacancy and think “that sounds like me!”, click the button and fill in all the relevant information.

Screening call

Should your application be considered for the vacancy you’ve applied for, our HR team will be in touch to discuss your application in more detail. This could last around 30 minutes, and will include questions about your previous experience and what you’re looking for in your next rol


If the screening call goes well, you’ll be invited to the relevant location to interview with the hiring manager for the position. Each position has its own process when it comes to interview stages, with some roles asking for the completion of a task and some including an assessment day with activities. It’s all about making sure we’re as good a fit for you as you are for us, and we’ll give you all the details in plenty of time so you’re well prepared.


Whatever happens, you’ll hear back from us after the interview. Hopefully we’ll be contacting you to verbally offer you the role!

Your first day

Just like we don’t sell our customers a mobility scooter and let them get on with it, we don’t welcome you to CareCo just to throw you straight in at the deep end! The HR team will let you know where to be and when to be there, and make sure you’ve got everything you need to get your CareCo career off to the best possible start.

Can I send my CV in for you to review?
Yes, absolutely! Please send your CV to our Recruitment team, and if possible, let us know what type of role you’re looking for.
How long after I apply will I be contacted?
Ideally, we try to contact all candidates within 48 hours of receiving your application.
Is there somewhere for me to park during my interview?
We have free parking at all CareCo sites. Please feel free to use the parking spaces outside the front of our buildings when you arrive. Disabled spots are also available.
Do you offer work experience, work placement or volunteering opportunities?
Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer work experience, placement or volunteering opportunities. But this is something we are always considering for the future, so never say never!
