  • What types of bath lift are available?

    Most bath lifts lower you into the water and raise you back out using a simple handset, but there are differences worth knowing about. Some recline as they lower, which is more comfortable for a proper soak. Some come with a swivel seat that lets you sit from outside the bath before swinging your legs over, removing the need to step in at all. At CareCo, we stock several models including the Elixir Pro, which reclines to 85 degrees for a more relaxed bathing position. Check the product pages for weight limits and dimensions before buying, as these vary between models.

  • Do I need to step into the bath to use a bath lift?

    Yes, you do need to step over the bath edge and sit on the lift before using it. If stepping over the edge is the main challenge, a bath bench or walk-in bath may be a better starting point.

  • Are bath lifts suitable for all baths?

    Most fit standard UK baths, but it is worth checking the dimensions of your bath against the product specifications before ordering. Some lifts have a recline function which requires a little more length. If you are unsure, our team can advise.

  • Are bath lifts available with VAT relief?
