The Explorer is designed for our larger customers, with an extra-wide seat and stronger frame to support people up to 32 stone. The bigger frame doesn't compromise comfort or performance and it follows the same high quality contruction as our other models. The Explorer is perfect for very overweight or obese users, and the push handles are ergonomically designed to make it easier for carers to help push the chair.

The Explorer’s sturdy construction will ensure you feel safe and secure, even when negotiating difficult terrain such as uneven surfaces or steep slopes. It’s perfectly named, so get out and explore!

The Explorer’s carbon steel frame is built to last, and is given extra protection by the coated frame with its sleek black finish. The upholstery is equally hard-wearing, and the double-embossed vinyl provides both comfort and practicality, while being easy to keep clean and fresh. Solid rubber tyres mean no pumping up or worrying about punctures on a wheelchair that is low maintenance and easy to live with.
Fully adjustable for optimum comfort
When the designers set about creating the Explorer, they were determined that it must provide a safe and comfortable ride for all shapes and sizes. There’s no need for compromises here, the seat height and footrests can all be adjusted to get the set up just right for you, and the armrests can be removed for easier transport. You’ll also notice the seat is extra soft and well padded. Even on a bumpy surface, you’ll feel at ease and ready for the path ahead.
