Designed to relieve pressure and alleviate sores, the gel wheelchair cushion also helps to avoid pressure ulcers caused by long periods in the wheelchair. Made using a type of viscous gel these wheelchair cushions do not flatten like a traditional cushion. Instead they retain their comfortable qualities and are resistant to permanent imprints. Covering the gel pouch is a fire retardant foam shell and cover with a waterproof nylon top and non-slip vinyl bottom to keep it positioned where you want it on the wheelchair.
