does it charge by plugging with 13 amp plug?
that does not involve taking the batteries out?

Yes, it comes with a charger that you plug into a wall socket, and plug the other end into the controller. There is a photo on page 19 of the manual, and further instructions on page 24:http://s3.amazonaws.com/careco-web-manuals/ZentihPro_Manual_v2.pdf
How do you lower the seat?
My father-in-law has a Zenith Pro I-Go wheelchair but cant use it as the seats too high.

To adjust the seat you need to first remove the seat by pulling the level up and then lifting the seat. Then you remove the shroud but loosening the two retraining bolts (you should be able to remove these with your fingers) - note it is also fixed in place with some Velcro so you will still need to pull on it. Then you will be able to access the seat pillar, which has a bolt. Remove the bolt with suitable spanners and you can lower the pillar. Does the seat fold forward?
I need to use a hoist to lift the chair into my vehicle. I need to know if the seat folds forward for clearance with the hoist?

The I-Go Zenith Pro seat does fold. The top half folds onto the bottom half. The Seat can also be completely removed. Thank you for your question!
Can this chair climb and descend hills?
My caravan is on a hilly site and my present chair will zoom up but veers off when descending will this chair be more suitable

Thank you for your enquiry. The I-Go Zenith Pro has a climbing gradient of 6 degrees meaning that it can climb most hills but may struggle on much steeper ones. The controls for the Zenith Pro are quite sensitive but provided that you are comfortable with the joystick you should be able to descend a hill without it veering off. We recommend charging electric wheelchairs overnight for around 12 hours is possible every night, if not every other day. And the incline would be no more than 5-10% in fear of burning out the battery. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us again.

I see you can change the height of the arm rests but can you also widen them to accommodate a larger person?
