Maintaining independence in the bathroom is difficult for those with limited mobility. A lack of balance and reduced strength can make it difficult to use the toilet without assistance. The Burford Commode is a cleverly designed bathroom aid that makes life easier for both patient and carer.

The Burford's high-quality metal tubing construction comfortably supports a weight of up to 100kg (15st 9lbs). The seat width is 46cm and the seat height is adjustable between 48-58cm. The adaptable design of this commode makes it suitable for a wide range of users, so it's ideal for hospitals and nursing or care homes.

The four castor wheels are also useful for homecare environments, letting you wheel the Burford Commode to wherever it is needed. The wheeled design also makes it much easier to keep the commode out of the way when not in use, removing the necessity for lifting and carrying as with other commodes.

The Burford is fitted with two padded swing-away armrests offering a comfortable place to perch. The padded armrests also provide useful leverage and extra grip to help the user ease themselves up and down from the commode. Sideways transfers on and off the Burford Commode are also easier thanks to the swing-away design.

Removing the commode pan is a simple task. Just lift the toilet seat and fix the supplied lid to the pan to avoid spillages. The pan can then be cleaned with a suitable disinfectant. Clean the seat and lid with a soft cloth when necessary.

This commode is compatible with the Easy Clean Commode Pan and Lid (BA02050004) and the Smart Commode Pan and Lid (BA02050003).
