Toilet Support Frames

A toilet frame gives you something solid to push up from and lower down onto, which makes a real difference if your legs are weak, your balance is unreliable, or you've had a recent operation. They fit around a standard toilet without any permanent installation and most take just a few minutes to set up. Some include a raised seat if getting down to a standard toilet height is the main challenge.

  • Will a toilet frame fit my toilet?

    Most standard UK toilets measure between 35 and 44cm across the bowl. Our frames are adjustable in both width and height, so they fit the majority of toilets without any modification. Check the adjustment range in the product specifications before ordering if you're unsure.

  • How do I adjust the height?

    Most frames use a push-button mechanism on the legs. Press the button, slide to the height you need and release to lock. Check it's firmly locked before use. The right height puts the armrests level with your hips when you're standing, so you can push down through your arms rather than relying on your legs alone.

  • How do I choose between a freestanding frame and a fixed rail?

    A freestanding frame is the easier option if you're renting, if you want to be able to move it, or if you need something quickly. Fixed rails attach to the wall and are more permanent, but feel more solid for heavier users or those who need substantial support. If you're not sure, a freestanding frame is a sensible starting point.

  • How do I keep it clean?

    Wipe down with a damp cloth and a mild antibacterial spray after use. The rubber ferrules on the feet should be checked occasionally and replaced if they wear down, as worn ferrules reduce grip on the floor.
