Go out in the rain with stay dry scooting.The clear panels on the hood allow for very good peripheral vision. The large hood gives very good protection from wind & rain. To get in & out i pull it over my head & leave it on the scooter. My scooter is the Lithilite (Lithium battery) car boot type that splits to 3 parts. (removable battery, charging point on battery only). It is light & very small, I am not & this cover is plenty big enough for me. Even if i had the largest size leccy mobility scooter, this cape would easily enclose me & the scoot to the ground all around. It is the complete person/scooter coverage I like best.
I pull it up a little so it doesn't get caught under the wheels. Having the clear plastic panels in strategic positions means, if you stopped to use your mobile phone (rain drops dependant) front lights, the tiller are all easily visible. Could do with clear rear panel for rear lights if you have them. Until then, You could cut a bit out to expose rear lights/ indicators etc, will work just as well without compromising rain proofing to much.Strengths Complete rain protection of person & scoot to the ground. Neither me or scoot get wet. Zip side for entry/exit. Clear panel on the front extends low & high enough to use mobile phone when stationary. Tiller, front lights & indicators visible through the clear front panel. Clear side panels allow for a larger hood , giving much better head protection & good peripheral vision.Weaknesses Storage bag for when wet as i keep it in the car. (accessory) Clear rear panel for lights/reflectors (on seat or motor) Elasticated bottom or some other adjustable method to enable it to be lifted & secured off the ground to relevant height (velcro?) -
Verified BuyerScooter CapeThis Scooter Cape was quick and easy to fit onto the Scooter, with the Clear Plastic sections you can easily see the Control Panel, and you are able to see what is going on around you thanks to the Clear panels on the Hood, while also keeping you warm and dry.Strengths Quick and easy to use.Weaknesses It is a bit too long at the back sides, so unless you hook the sides over the Armrests, it can get caught up in the back Wheels, especially if you try to move the Scooter with the Cape partially unzipped.
