A new found freedom,
I was discouraged by the practice nurse as she concerned that I wouldn’t exercise. I have also purchased the stroller / walker to offset this. Wished I had done it sooner as I am now able to accompany my wife when we walk over the park and shops etc. Excellent scooter, so easy to use. The instructions regarding charging were confusing as it talked of the amber / orange light. Couldn’t find an orange light as the battery was already charged. It was the fear of doing something wrong which prevented my from charging it further. Even when I telephoned to clarify this I was wrongly advised by saying the battery isn’t charged when delivered.!! Looking forward to years of regular use.
Strengths
Robust quality, easy to assemble / dismantle and use. Fits into the car boot with seat stem on rear seat of the car.
Weaknesses
So keen to preserve battery life an additional light to notify when fully charged would greatly help.

Great little scooter but could have done with a place for a walking stick
Only used twice but seems to work well after initially not starting despite the battery being full, Made the first trip out a bit fraught as seemed to not want to go after switching it off. Seemed better on the second trip.
Seems to tackle small hills quite well.
Easy to assemble and use, though bag on seat useless and basket in front small. Have purchased a larger one.
Would have been nice to have somewhere to put a walking stick. Nothing you can purchase suitable for this one either.
Sales person in Cheltenham very helpful, did not feel pressured. Explained things and then left us to talk it over.
Strengths
Easy to assemble and use
Weaknesses
Nowhere for a walking stick, other than buying a rucksack for £100. Most people using these need a stick so think a bad design fault.
Played up when we first started using it making us a bit unsure how reliable it would be. Fingers crossed we have no more problems

X Go ASTRO Purchase.
The mobility scooter was purchased from Brierley Hill store. The assistant Adele couldn't have been more helpful. My husband viewed and tried out the scooters with the help of Adele. She even used screwdrivers to adjust where required and helped us try the chosen one to see if it would fit in the car and it was pouring of rain. It has had lilited use so far.The scooter seems fit for purpose with a good range if mileage in the battery life. A comfortable seat and sitting positionand good turning circle with reverse, With the addition of a bright light and adjustable steering, swivel seat and ability to breakdown into managable pieces it seems it's going to be a boon for the future for my husband.
