Coccyx Cutout CushionMy previous coccyx cushion must be 13 years old and very ragged. I use it in my car, not for coccyx relief, but for my spine as car seats are hard. I have a wedge collapse at T8, so my spine angles forward about 20deg. I needed to stop my spine being pulled flat by the seatbelt and the wedge cushion fitted the bill.
The foam in this is very firm, I needed to run 3/4 depth slits with the wedge so that it would curve to the seat and my body shape. Perfect, many thanksStrengths Should last many yearsWeaknesses might be too firm for some if you have contoured seat base -

Helpful itemI tried this item out when visiting a friend and found it comfortable in the chair I sat on. I had been looking for a supportive cushion for some time for use in my car. It is fairly helpful and has given me a lift so that I have a clearer view when driving. and made the car seat less rigid to sit on. However, I am finding the cushion cover difficult in that it has a very slippery surface and I am slipping around quite a bit. I should perhaps have purchased a different type of cushion.
