It plugs in to the mains. Inside the soft fleecy fabric is a wire mesh that warms up when it is plugged in, in the same way that an electric blanket works. There are 6 heat settings. It comes in one size, and sits over the shoulders, with poppers at the front to close it. It is large, around 46 inches at the chest.
