Power glideGot for my husband recently as he's too heavy for me to push in an ordinary wheelchair.Strengths Saves a lot of effort of pushing as all l have to do is guide the wheelchair and steer.Weaknesses Have to use in on flat surfaces, can't go up even a centimeter curb...it stops and takes ages to restart! Also battery is extremely heavy!!

great on smooth surfacesi was banking a lit on this gadget to take my mum out and about especially in the countryside but it proved to be a real disappointment. as in smooth surfaces it goes well but as for rough terrain as I have to push hard it really defeats the purpose im not sure i will keep it.Strengths great on smooth surfacesWeaknesses wont go uphill nor on uneven terrain

Power GlideI fitted the item to an Airex LT transit chair, but found that amount of intrusion backwards made control difficult. I then moved it forward on the frame. I am myself disabled, but the chair is for my wife, who has mobility problems. I feel I must relate a possible problem regarding control. when going up a slope. over enthusiastic use of forward motion, caused the chair to tip backward, and drop my wife to the ground, and myself to fall over as I failed to prevent it. It is essential, that anti tip wheels be fitted to the rear of the chair. I have not been able to obtain these from Care Co.Strengths powerful motorWeaknesses Tendency to tip the chair backward
