Keep your furniture looking as new as the day you bought it with a Guardsman Furniture Protection Plan. It covers you for all of life's little accidents at home, including stains and damage, with no excess to pay and no annual renewal costs.

You won't pay an excess, and there
are no annual renewal costs

Their expert technicians are

skilled in their craft and will try to

repair or remove the damage at a

time that suits you

If a repair isn’t possible, they’ll source new

parts for you or a replacement item if the parts

are unavailable

Claims can be made at any point throughout

the duration of your plan, up to the indemnity

value of the plan (that’s the price you

originally paid for your furniture or £15,000,

whichever is lowest)

A Guardsman Protection Plan will cover you for accidents that happen to your furniture. And depending on the level of cover you choose, you’ll also be covered for faults with recliner mechanisms.

Accidental stains such as...

  • Drinks such as red wine or coffee
  • Food such as curry or pizza
  • Human and animal bodily fuids, such as blood and vomit
  • Ink such as biro, felt tip or permanent marker
  • Unidentifiable stains (not as a result of a build up)
  • Paint
  • Make-up and toiletries
  • Dye transfer from jeans or newspaper (not as a result of a build up)
  • Adhesive and glues
  • Bleaches and other household cleaning products
  • Acidic liquid eg. lemon juice

Accidental damage such as...

  • Tears and rips eg. caused by keys
  • Scruff and scratches to the leather
  • Burns eg. caused by cigarettes
  • Thread pulls (to fabric upholstery)
  • Pet scratches (not as a result of a build up)

Recliner mechanism faults such as...

  • Mechanism failure
  • Electrical failure
  • Wire breakage or cuts
  • Switches jamming, breaking or failing
  • Frame breakage
  • Peeling of leather

A Guardsman Protection Plan does not cover…

  • General cleaning
  • Wear and tear
  • Animal chewing
  • Cracking to leather upholstery
  • Animal damage that has been allowed to accumulate
  • Structural faults including: broken frames, slats, legs and mechanisms;
    fraying of upholstery and stitching; broken zips; loss of buttons;
    separation of coats or layers of pigment, veneer or finishes
  • Damage or staining to the mattress protector
  • Odours
  • Colour change
  • Damage caused by perspiration
  • Wear and tear such as accumulation of multiple
    stains, damage to multiple areas
  • Faults which are covered by manufacturer warranty
  • Damage to the mattress if a Guardsman approved
    mattress protector is not in use

Adding a Guardsman Protection Plan to your purchase couldn't be easier. Choose from either a 3 year plan or a 5 year plan, with Plus and Platinum policies available depending on your product and the level of cover you wish to have.

When you add a product to your basket that can be covered with Guardsman Protection Plan, we'll ask you if you want to add a policy. Simply choose the duration and level of cover you'd like, and we'll include it in your shopping basket ready for you to checkout.

Purchase in-store

Our showroom teams will be more than happy to talk you through what's covered by a Guardsman Protection Plan when you purchase your furniture, and to recommend the best plan for your specific product and lifestyle.

We’ll cover you for accidents to your fabric and leather furniture that result in damage and staining. Depending on the level of cover you choose, we’ll also cover you for structural faults once your manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

  • What is a Guardsman Protection Plan?

    A Guardsman Protection Plan is ‘no excess’ cover to keep your furniture looking as new as the day you bought it, even when life’s little accidents happen.
  • How do I make a claim?

    When you need to make a claim, you can call our UK call centre or download a claim form online.
  • What does a Furniture Protection Plan cover?

    It covers life’s little accidents such as food or drink spills and accidental damage, as well as structural defects. A Platinum policy gives you extra protection for mechanisms, foam fillings not springing back to their original shape, stitching coming undone, broken springs, frame breakage and peeling of leather.
  • What am I not covered for?

    A Furniture Protection Plan does not cover you for general cleaning, wear and tear, colour change, animal chewing, odours or damage caused by perspiration. A Guardsman Protection Plan is not a substitute for regular care and cleaning. We’ll take care of the accidents, but the day to day care is down to you.
  • Help, I’ve spilt something on my furniture! Should I clean it?

    First things first, remove any excess liquid and blot remaining residue with a clean white cloth or paper towel and water. Don’t rub the area as this can cause damage. Leave it to dry.

    You can then make a claim by calling our UK call centre or downloading the form online.

  • What happens if my furniture can’t be repaired?

    Our expert technicians will try to repair the damage wherever possible, but if they can’t then we’ll replace the damaged part or item, or offer a cash settlement up to the cost of repair or replacement.
