- Verified BuyerGreat wheelchairHaving just broken my ankle this chair is just what I needed to move myself around the house without having to ask for assistance all the time. Excellent quality and easy to propel yourself too.
Strengths Easy to manoeuvre.Weaknesses None that come to mind - Verified Buyer19yr and able to go outside by myself againI am 19 and have health issues that have been declining my ability to move walk, brush my hair ext.
I was extremely hesitant to get a wheelchair due to fear of being approached like I have when I have my cane. I did alot of research and for my needs and how much I'd be using it in a week, this was voted the best fit! I'm really happy that I have finally purchased one. It was daunting for me to make the decision but my quality of life has improved and I've been able to attend a gathering with friends again. And go out for 'walks' around the area.Strengths It's really easy to pack up and assemble. My partner built it in under 10minutes, the longest part was getting the feat at the right height for me. It's easy to take apart and get into a car, once you get the hang of it you can do it in under 2 minutes, both taking apart and putting back together. It's pretty lightweight, I can pick up which I was surprised about! The colour is really nice a vibrant too, I got the purple as I wanted it special for me but not make me stand out loads. But it's sparkly when in sunlight with makes me happy. Moving and turning is really fluid, I'd used a NHS wheel chair for a week a few months before purchase but they where so hard to use and turn in, but this one is so easy and doesn't require alot of force. It was really scary to me, to purchase one, but I ended up speaking to one of the employees on the phone and he was really lovely. I know that if anything goes wrong that I can phone and they'll help me :) And finally the price is really good, I couldn't really afford a more expensive chair but this one's is super comfortable. It was packaged really securely and arrived in 3 days after purchase and I ordered it on a weekend. Plus when we opened the box it came with a bunch of codes to get money off of other products ect which is kind to do.Weaknesses (read this with the knowledge that I have issues with my hands + strength) The breaks on the back of the chair are great, really easy to use - as I've been told The breaks when moving by myself are hard for me personally, though I'm not confident in using the wheelchair as a whole which won't be helping. But they require alot of strength, I may see if there's something I can add on to help reach to it or be able to get a better grip. As I have to lean to reach them. (I'm 5'2) However if your starting learning I wouldn't suggest going down an hills without someone near by to help while in the learning stage. I move between Yorkshire and Devon and both areas are full of hills. I also can't undo the seatbelt by myself as it's quite stiff for me, my partner struggles with it as well but where both assuming with my use it'll get easier. But just something to consider, if your debating between an electric or non electric wheelchair. - Verified BuyerExcellent wheelchairFairly lightweight
