Sorted!
Simple enough to assemble but initially I couldn't put the bolts into the bottom ends of one of the handrails because the threads of the boltholes were bunged up with a gluey substance and the hole in one of the plastic end caps was far too small for the bolt to pass through it.
After drilling out the end cap and removing the gluey substance, the second handrail was fitted as quickly as the first. It shouldn't have been necessary but it was easier than returning the whole thing.
Strengths
The ideal solution to high threshold.
Weaknesses
Suspect quality control.

Just what was needed
This is just what was needed. It is much sturdier than expected for the price. It wobbles very slightly, but not alarmingly and we haven’t even fixed the stablising brackets yet. We needed something to hold onto while stepping out of the door. Fast delivery too!
Strengths
Sturdy with adjustable height.
Weaknesses
A bit fiddly to put together but if I can do it most people could!
