Very expensive way to increase the scooters rangeI have one of these scooters and am very pleased with it. It is an excellent machine. I wanted to increase the scooters range so I bought new 20 Ah batteries and put them in the original battery box. Be careful about the battery measurements, get the right ones and they will go in.Strengths Just swap one battery box for another .Weaknesses Purchasing a new battery box isnt necessary

Does what its meant to but its poorly designedUnfortunately, whilst these do the job they are designed for, the build quality / design is not as good as it should be. We ordered one of these along with the CareCo Zoom Plus Scooter, after getting it replaced after it arrived damaged, sadly the replacement also arrived in a less than satisfactory state. Fortunately, we was able to fix the issue ourselves without the need to yet again return the item to CareCo. I believe the issue to be the design and build quality of the outer box to be the issue. The screws that hold the lid to the box are not placed correctly. If the lid and the box are not correctly aligned when they are fastened together, the box can become misaligned causing gaps to appear between the lid and the box. The main concern is that if the scooter is used in bad weather with battery pack in this condition, water could get inside etc. In both instances, the battery packs must have been packaged in the state we received them as they was well packaged and there was no damage to the packaging whatsoever. CareCo need to improve both their QA process and checks before goods are shipped to customers. Although it only took 5 minutes to fix the issues, its not something that I would expect to have to do when purchasing brand new equipment.Strengths NoneWeaknesses Design
