- Transformed my days out.This little scooter has made all the difference to getting out and about. I was declining invitations to places because of my poor mobility. A good addition to my car but I wouldn't recommend for full time use.Strengths Folds and fits easily into the boot of a small car, a Micra. It is not heavy. It has a carrying handle and can be wheeled like a suitcase.Weaknesses A little flimsy. Not very stable on uneven pavements. Would not use it as an everyday scooter. Range a little poor.
- My little green saviourI recently purchased a little green minimus scooter and am so pleased with it. It has given me so much more freedom and I can go out with my husband on shopping trips etc. and not feel a drag when going out with friends.Strengths It. feels quite substantialWeaknesses It is rather heavy for my husband to lift into the car. Some of the instructions in the manual are either missing or inadequate, eg fitting basket, need to be in freewheel to close up for lifting.
- FANTASTIC BIT OF KIT!I bought the Minimus travel scooter last month, as a present to myself for a holiday abroad. We were flying from Glasgow Airport, and i know from my past holiday experiences,that i was struggling to walk around Airports as well as in and around hotels.
This scooter has been a life changer for me, allowing me freedom to go under my own steam, not having to rely on being pushed around in a wheelchair by Airport groundcrew as well as being able to get my iwn drinks and meals around the hotels.
It has made me feel less of a burden to my partner, running around after me, and for the first time in years i can get myself around the shopping centres and in and out of shops ,without worrying about my back and legs getting sore because of my reduced mobility.Strengths 5 out of 5 for the build quality, and ease of folding/ unfolding. Being so compact, its fantastic for getting in narrow shop isles and going around hotel restraunts etc. Doesnt take up much room when you come off the scooter to then sit down at cafes or hotel dining room tables etc. Also means i can now get my own drink at the bar when i'm on holiday!Weaknesses Not the most comfortable of seats if you were sitting on it for 3 or 4 hours but guess thats the compromise you have to make, for the seat being collapsable and folding flat and so easy to fold and put in the boot of the car. Im nearly 6 ft and still realitively fit but someone maybe less fit or smaller might struggle to lift the scooter in and out of the car as its still fairly heavy. Best to ask in store and try it out to make sure your comfortable with the weight
- Minimus ScooterI bought the scooter as my travelling scooter. It is stable, easily folded to go in a coach or airline, and I can manage to fold it single handed. My only problem was getting it out of the box it arrived in, and sorting out how it assembled. I understand that I could have had help from CareCoStrengths Light stable, easily folded, very fast deyWeaknesses No help when it arrived
- Great buggy - it now "lives" permanently in my car. I just lower the tiller and thats it ready to go. I have a bigger scooter that I use for bigger shopping trips (gathering dust in my gargage)all ready to go.Strengths Light enough for me (80) to put in the boot.Weaknesses none really
