- Traverse Mobility Scooter = INDEPENDENCEHaving tried out several models in the showroom, I decided to purchase the Traverse Mobility Scooter. It was delivered promptly, and I had decided to assemble the parts (love DIY!). Having read the instructions carefully (and watched the YouTube video) within 20 minutes the scooter was ready to use.
After an overnight charge, I was off independently for the first time in a long while. With visits to the park and local shops I have suddenly gained many new friends.
But of course you want to know about the Traverse. I fined that it gives a feeling of safety and security with its sturdy construction. The wheel size enables me to cover ground that my previous scooter was unable to cope with. Wing mirrors and indicators are a huge advantage when approaching junctions (on the pavement) allowing others to be aware of your intended direction of travel.Strengths Mirrors, indicators, wheel size, distance travel range. Solid construction and comfortable ride.Weaknesses Dislike the "peep" of the forward horn, would prefer something with a little more gravitas. I intend to buy something from one of the motoring shops. - It has made more of my village easy to reach, and is great fun!!!I got my scooter just 2 weeks ago, the only thing annoying me is the rain nearly every day since!!!Strengths Easy to useWeaknesses A large turning circle
