- The Aethos mobility scooter gives me independencePreviously, if I wanted to go to the local shops that are less than a mile away, I had to ask for a lift. Now that I have the scooter I can go as and when I want, which gives me a great sense of freedom.
The Aethos scooter itself is wonderful and I have no criticisms to make about it.
The service provide by CareCo has been very good, The only comment I would like to make is that the delivery of the order was not straight forward. The accessories pack that I ordered with the scooter was not delivered initially and had to be reorderedStrengths Easy to rechargeWeaknesses Adjustment of seat height difficult - I can get up the hill from town more easilyI have only had the scooter a couple of weeks but It gives me an independence that I didn't have before and enables me to access places further away.Strengths Simple controlsWeaknesses None so far
- Verified BuyerWhat a comfortable scooterI did my research for a pavement scooter prioritising comfort, range, portability for transporting in a car and a tiller charging port. I subsequently ordered the Abilize Aethos SLE as it fitted the bill. It was also recommended by Which of whom I have been a member for many years. I have also been a satisfied customer of Careco for many years so the ordering and delivery were of the usual excellent standard. Compared to my previous pavement scooters the Aethos is like driving a Rolls Royce in terms of comfort. It soaks up pavement and road deformities with ease. The lithium battery means I do not have to worry about long trips. A bit more expensive than the normal pavement scooter but in my opinion well worth it. In terms of size it presents no problems manoeuvering around shops and supermarkets. The lights mean travelling after dark are a little safer. Its the best piece of disabled kit I have ever bought.Strengths Smooth, comfortable and feels well built.Weaknesses Couldn't work out how the armrests swing down and the instructions on how to do it are absent. As I don't need this feature its not a problem.
- Can now have days out on a reliable scooterI purchased my scooter a few weeks ago and it has made such a big difference.
My original scooter only had a short distance range and not much ground clearance so we went to the Lincoln Care Co and explained what we needed (a car boot scooter, a decent mile range and bigger wheels with more ground clearance.
We were recommended 3 different models, test drove two in the shop and left very happy having ordered what was perfect.
We were kept informed of delivery progress and it arrived well on time.
having been out on it a few times just love it.
The seat is so comfortable, copes well on not perfect ground and easy to steer.
Love the swivel seat so no more trying to lift the arm rest to get out.
TOTALLY LOVE IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT.
Strengths EASY STEERING, COMFY SEAT, NICE COMFY HANDLE BARS AND DECENT SIZE BASKET ON THE FRONT.Weaknesses NONE - Lovely scooterI bought this 2 weeks ago and it’s a lovely scooter although I’ve had to return as due to a stroke I need a larger scooter as I couldn’t bend my foot enough to get on the scooter. Care co are brilliant and listened to my needs and swiftly are exchanging for a larger scooter more suitable for my needs.Strengths Lovely scooter, great bronze colour and new display is a lovely touch making this a modern scooter.Weaknesses Not big enough for me as I struggle to bend my leg
