Perfect lampRecently purchased this magnifying lamp for my mum , she has macular degeneration, and has tried a few other hand held magnifying glasses. This is perfect now as my mum can have both hands free to take up her hobbies again , reading and knitting . Perfect solution , many thanks

Daylight lampI brought a daylight lamp recently for my wife as she does a lot of craft work, particularly knitting. She is very pleased with it and wishes she had one years ago.Strengths Much better lighting than normal bulbs when she needs to concentrate on her work. Still need normal lighting when watching TV etc as daylight light is too strong for these.Weaknesses None.

And there was lightWe bought this because I was having difficulty in reading my knitting pattern and checking my knitting.Strengths It's a good large size, sits solidly on the floor, it has good magnification and lights the area well.Weaknesses The switch is very temperamental and often takes 2/3 attempts to switch it on. The lead could be a good 12 inches longer.
