Delighted with my purchase of the Ludlow CommodeI really did not want a plastic commode in my bedroom and looking on line I found the Ludlow which looks just like a bedroom chair . Delighted with it - it looks nice and is well made . I did however take the advice of a previous review and varnish the wood that holds the potty just in case of spills . Perhaps that could be done before purchase ?
I did not give it 5 stars because of the raw wood under the seat . Otherwise it deserves it .Strengths Well made and substantial.Weaknesses Wood under the seat is not varnished and urine could soak int it , so I varnished it . -
Ludlow CommodeThe Ludlow is ideal ,strong sturdy,easy to clean,looks like an ‘everyday’ piece of furniture.Easy and steady enough to sit down or stand up from,Especially with the padded arms.Definitely one of our favourite buys!Strengths Very sturdy,no tipping in sitting or standing.Weaknesses There are no weakness!

Smart looking chair for bathroomThis chair is beautifully made and very sturdy. I would have liked a plastic insert all around where the seat rests covering the wood for hygiene. Also something non absorbent on the underside of the white seat again for hygiene. Also being only five foot tall I do find it a little difficult to sit on, I need to find someone to shorten the legs. Maybe it could have been offered in a choice of heights. But it is a lovely look item.Strengths Nice looking.Weaknesses Uncovered inner wood and too high.

Ludlow CommodeWas delivered into my bedroom. A friend came round to help me unpack the box.
Very nice but one thing & its a big thing. The Commode is very heavy at 14Kg and I cannot move it myself as I live alone.. I bought this whilst in showroom in Southampton & wished I had asked about the weight before buying. Otherwise it looks good & well made.Strengths Very comfortable chair to sit on - you would not think it's a Commode.Weaknesses Very heavy for me to lift/move chair in bedroom. -
