- Verified BuyerAlton CommodeWe purchased a commode for my elderly mother as she doesn’t have a downstairs toilet and finds the staircase harder to navigate on her own. The commode allows her to retain her independence during the day. We had also bought liners as recommended, but on receipt realised these weren’t required, so returned them unopened for a refund.Strengths Independence. Looks like a normal chair.Weaknesses Needs emptied!

- Great commodeMy mother finds it really easy to use, comfortable and warm. Very happy with the purchase. Small weakness: the buckets handle falls off, so for safety and non spils, she lifts and places the bucket without the handle. Would be easier if the bucket had a handle that works.Strengths Solid, comfortable, discreet.Weaknesses The handle on the bucket falls off leaving you likely to have the contents go all over you and the floor.
- Alton CommodeWheel chairs come in 3 sizes, so I was able to chose a small one. I had no choice of Alton Commodes ... e.g... same H W D fits all! Being 52 and 10s,t I dont have the same requirements as my 5 8 and 14 st husband.Strengths Sturdy well constructed aesthetically pleasing apart from enormous cushion handleWeaknesses only one size
