The Tranquility Bed Chair is a riser recliner built around more adjustable, supportive comfort. Two independent motors let you position the backrest and legrest exactly where you want them, and the split-lumbar shaping keeps your lower back supported through longer stretches of sitting. It comes upholstered in a soft, breathable vegan leather that stays cool and comfortable rather than hot and sticky, and a foam topper with two removable washable covers is included for when you need to rest for longer.

Most riser recliners move in one fixed motion. The Tranquility gives you more flexibility, with independent adjustment for the backrest and legrest so you can sit, recline or stretch out more naturally. Bring your feet up while staying upright, recline gradually without fully lying back, or adjust both together when you want to properly settle in for the evening.

The Tranquility is upholstered in a soft, breathable faux leather with a subtle grain finish that gives it the look and feel of genuine leather without the cold stiffness in winter or sticky feel that can build up over longer periods of sitting. Designed to stay cooler and more comfortable throughout the day, it’s also resistant to scratches, stains and everyday marks, making it easier to keep the chair looking its best. The split-lumbar backrest provides more targeted support through your lower back, helping the chair feel more supportive and settled during longer periods of sitting or reclining.
Stretch out and settle in
Fully reclined, the Tranquility extends to 1810mm and includes a foam topper as standard for extra cushioning when you want to properly stretch out and rest. The topper stays securely in place as the chair moves through different positions, while the included spare washable cover makes everyday upkeep simpler. From longer evenings in front of the television to afternoons where getting fully comfortable matters most, the Tranquility is designed to feel supportive, settled and easy to spend time in.

What is the foam topper and how does it attach?
A foam topper with a removable washable cover is included with the Tranquility, along with a spare cover. It fastens to the chair at the headrest and footrest using velcro strips, so it stays in position as the chair reclines and returns to upright.
What is the upholstery made from?
The Tranquility is upholstered in a soft, breathable vegan leather. It has a subtle grain finish, stays cooler than standard vinyl or genuine leather during extended use and is resistant to scratches, stains and blemishes. It cleans easily with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Can I control the backrest and legrest separately?
Yes. The dual motor design means the backrest and legrest operate independently, so you can adjust each to the position that suits you without the other moving.
What does the handset control?
The handset raises and lowers the legrest, raises and lowers the backrest and includes a home button that returns the chair to an upright seated position in one press. USB-A and USB-C charging ports are also built in.
What is the maximum user weight?
The Tranquility supports users up to 130kg.
Is it difficult to assemble?
The backrest clips onto the seat base and locks with an audible click. Most customers have it ready in around 15 minutes. A step-by-step assembly video is available on the CareCo website.
What warranty does it come with?
The metal frame carries a 5-year warranty and the electronic components a 2-year warranty.
