A chair that turns with the room
Your standard armchair faces one direction and stays there. The Lynemouth swivels a full 360°, so when you need to turn – someone walks in, the television goes on – you turn with it instead of twisting awkwardly in your seat. The recline is worked by hand from the side of the seat, not a motor or a remote, so there's nothing to charge and nothing to replace. Sit upright for company, drop back for the evening, and bring the matching footstool in when you do.

Turn without standing
The base rotates a full 360°, smoothly and without needing to lift the chair or shuffle it round on the carpet. At 79cm wide, it turns comfortably even in a modest-sized room. Face the television for the evening, turn towards the door when someone comes in, or angle towards the window during the day.
Frame and fill
Underneath the upholstery is a metal frame with wooden arms, supporting a weight capacity of up to 115kg. The seat and back are layered with HR foam, standard foam and polyester fibre, chosen to hold shape through daily sitting rather than flatten out within a year. At 22.5kg, it's substantial enough to stay put but light enough to reposition when you need to.
Put your feet up
A footstool comes as standard with the Lynemouth Swivel Recliner, not sold as a separate accessory, and sits at 44cm high – close enough to the seat height that your legs rest level rather than pointing down. Recline the chair back, bring the footstool in, and the whole seat works as one unit rather than two separate pieces of furniture.

Is it easy to get in and out of?
The seat sits at a standard 50cm from the floor, with arm height and depth built for lounging rather than for easy transfer. If getting up from a low seat is a struggle, a rise recliner would suit better than the Lynemouth.
Does the footstool move about when you put your legs up?
It sits close against the base of the chair and is heavy enough in its own base not to slide when weight goes on it.
Does the recline need charging or plugging in?
The Lynemouth’s recline feature works by hand using the knob at the side of the seat, so there's no motor, no cable and nothing to charge overnight.
How much weight can it actually take?
The chair takes up to 115kg (18 stone), and the footstool separately to 30kg (4.7 stone). Both figures are on the safety label under the seat pad.
