Lighter travel, longer days
The Zora Explorer builds on everything that makes the Zora range so popular – lightweight carbon construction, easy folding design – and adds more range and refined comfort to fill your days with adventure. Two lithium batteries are included, with a side storage bag for safe transport, while its front suspension and larger wheels help you conquer every mile in comfort.

Two lithium batteries
Over 18 uninterrupted miles

Ultralight carbon fibre
Carry weight only 14kg

Larger rear wheels
Plus comfy front suspension
Swap, don’t stop
The Zora Explorer isn’t one for turning back. Each of the two lithium batteries offers over 9 miles (15km) of range – slip the spare into the side storage bag and slot it in when you need it. Lighter, longer lasting transport is what the Zora Explorer is all about.
The quality of comfort
Front suspension and larger rear wheels take the edge off uneven ground, giving the Zora Explorer a calmer ride. And with a padded seat, cushioned back and a calf rest, it stays comfortable while you clock up mile after mile.
More to adore, less to lift
Like the iConnect Zora and the ZR1, the Explorer is forged from ultralight carbon fibre for easier storage and transport. The frame folds like a traditional wheelchair, helping to slot into smaller spaces easily. And at just 14kg in its lightest form, it’s lots easier to lift into your car boot.
Please note that while this powerchair's lithium battery is under 300Wh and allowed on most airlines, only one battery can be taken on a plane, you will need to leave the spare battery at home. Read our CareCo guide to flying - Airports, Planes and Batteries to learn more.

What makes the Zora Explorer different from the standard Zora or ZR1?
The Explorer builds on the lightweight, folding Zora design but adds twin batteries for extra range, plus front suspension and larger wheels for comfort and control.
How far can I travel on a charge?
Each battery offers 15km (9.3 miles) on a full charge. While the batteries do not run in series (one after the other), it is easy to swap the used battery out to plug in your fully charged spare battery.
Is it still easy to transport and store?
Yes, it’s a Zora! The Explorer still uses light and extra strong carbon fibre for its frame, along with a traditional wheelchair folding design that makes compact storage easy.
Is the Zora Explorer suitable for outdoor use?
With its added suspension and larger rear wheels, the Zora Explorer is better suited to outdoor travel compared to other folding powerchairs. It won’t take you off-road, but it performs superbly on bumpy pavements and high streets.
Can I take the Zora Explorer on a plane?
The lithium batteries are airline-friendly, but only one can be taken on a plane. Just make sure you double check with your airline before travelling, because policies do vary.
