Features
- Advanced carbon fibre construction
- Lightweight 10.3kg carry weight
- Stronger without the extra weight
- Compact fold for life on the move
Lighter in every sense
The iCONNECT Zen Self-Propelled is remarkably light. At just 10.3kg, it's easier to lift, manoeuvre and transport than many traditional wheelchair designs. And the benefits go beyond the scales. The slimline frame, contemporary design and modern colourways challenge expectations of what a wheelchair can look like, while every aspect of the Zen is designed to reduce the burden of day-to-day mobility.

Stronger and lighter throughout

Effortless control
With a weight of only 10.3kg

Refined mobility
Contemporary design, ultraslim frame
Responsive, refined control
The Zen's carbon fibre construction actually changes the way this wheelchair feels on the move. Lightweight, rigid and highly responsive, it transfers more of your effort into movement, making self-propelling feel smoother. With large rear wheels and a slimline frame, this is a remarkably agile wheelchair for day to day.
Remarkably light, reassuringly practical
At just 10.3kg, the Zen is noticeably easier to lift into the car, while the quick-release rear wheels, removable legrests and compact folding frame help reduce its footprint even further. For heading into town, travelling further afield or storing at home, the Zen truly lives up to its name.
Making less do lots more
Every detail of the Zen is carefully considered and refined, from the ultraslim carbon fibre frame to the contemporary colours and minimalist profile. This is a wheelchair designed to challenge what mobility equipment can do, look like, and feel like.

Why is the iCONNECT Zen made from carbon fibre?
Carbon fibre offers an exceptional combination of strength, durability and low weight. It's a material more commonly associated with high-performance engineering, helping the Zen feel lighter to propel, easier to lift and less cumbersome all round.
Is carbon fibre strong enough for everyday use?
Carbon fibre is renowned for its high strength-to-weight ratio and is used in advanced technology where both durability and weight matter.
Will I notice the difference compared to a traditional wheelchair?
The lightweight ultraslim frame of the iCONNECT Zen makes the wheelchair easier to propel and push – while lifting, loading and transporting the chair is also more manageable.
Does the Zen have a folding frame?
The Zen folds into a compact shape for storage and transport. To make it even smaller, the rear wheels can be removed using the quick-release mechanism and the legrests can be detached.
Is the Zen available as a transit wheelchair?
Yes. The iCONNECT Zen is available in both Self-Propelled and Transit models. Both feature the same advanced carbon fibre construction, contemporary design and compact folding frame, with the choice depending on how you intend to use the wheelchair. The Self-Propelled model is designed for independent movement using the large rear wheels, while the Transit model is optimised for attendant-assisted use and offers an even lighter carry weight of just 8.8kg.
