Take a seat and you’ll feel the difference straight away. The Dawlish is built on a sprung seat base rather than foam alone, so it holds you rather than the other way round. It swivels a full 360°, reclines on a side lever, and comes with a footstool built to the same profile – in five leathers or three fabrics, to suit your living room.

Built from the seat up
The Dawlish sits on a sprung seat base rather than foam alone, so it flexes under your weight and holds its shape rather than compressing flat over time. The frame underneath is metal, built to hold 115kg, and the base turns a full 360° on a chrome-trimmed finish. Recline by hand from a lever at the side of the seat – no motor, no battery, just daily comfort that’s easy to find.

Support where it counts
Underneath the leather or fabric is a sprung seat base, not just a block of foam. It flexes under your weight and returns to shape, holding up well over months of daily sitting. The frame is metal, holding a capacity of 115kg, and at 27.3kg the chair itself stays put without being difficult to reposition.
Turns without a fuss
The base rotates a full 360° on a chrome-trimmed finish, so you turn to face the room instead of twisting in your seat. At 80cm wide, it turns easily even set against a wall or in a bay window. The recline is worked by a lever at the side of the seat, not a motor, so there's no battery to fail and no remote to lose down the side of the cushion.
Design to match
Choose from five leathers – Russet, Pebble, Cinder, Olive Green, Petrol Blue – or three fabrics – Espresso, Dove, Biscuit. The footstool matches whichever you pick and sits at 45cm, close enough to the 48cm seat height that your legs rest level rather than pointing down. Recline the chair back, bring the footstool in, and the two work as one seat rather than two separate pieces of furniture.

Is it easy to get in and out of?
The seat sits at 48cm from the floor, with arm height and depth built for lounging rather than for easy transfer. If getting up from a low seat is a struggle, a rise recliner would suit better than the Dawlish.
Will the footstool move when you put your legs up?
No. It sits close against the base of the chair and is heavy enough in its own base not to slide when weight goes on it.
Does the recline need charging or plugging in?
No. It's worked by hand using the lever at the side of the seat, so there's no motor, no cable and nothing to charge overnight.
How much weight can it actually take?
The chair takes up to 115kg (18 stone), and the footstool separately up to 30kg (4.7 stone). Both figures are on the safety label under the seat pad.
