Purchasing an electric wheelchair, hoist, electric bed, or other expensive item from CareCo is a significant investment. We understand that some people are reluctant to spend so much, even on a good quality items. Although we pride ourselves on selling high-quality items at affordable prices, sometimes things do go wrong beyond our and your control. That’s why we offer CareCo warranties for your big-ticket items. Here are some reasons why you should consider protecting your investment.
What is an Extended Warranty?
Customers of any item have a period of grace in which they may return an item. Faulty items can be exchanged, refunded, or repaired without fuss. For most items, it’s up to a year after purchase. For some electrical goods, you may exchange them up to three years. These are your statutory rights. Some retailers offer a goodwill gesture beyond these periods. Once the item has passed the guarantee period, they are not obliged to repair or replace the item. This is where extended warranties come in. These legal contracts allow you extra cover at a cost, giving you the same rights for an extended period.
CareCo Offers Multi-Year Options
Our current range of CareCo warranties are designed to give you choice. We have 1, 2, 3 and 4-year options with significant cost savings for multi-year options. When an item goes wrong just after the expiry of the period covering your legal rights it can be very frustrating. There is nothing worse than discovering that your guarantee ran out just a few weeks ago, but an extra warranty period can give you piece of mind.
Protects for Parts, Labour, and Call Out
Nothing is worse than getting a nasty repair bill when you think the warranty covers everything but in fact does not. Labour can be a major cost of any repair, with some engineers charging an hour of labour for a job that takes just a few minutes. With the CareCo warranties, your devices are covered for all three elements of a repair job. That means no matter which parts need replacing and no matter how long the job takes you are covered. Some warranties charge a call out fee regardless of the work carried out. Ours do not.
Our Warranties Cover Accidental Damage
Similarly, it is rare to find a warranty that covers the user for damage that they have caused. Statutory rights do not cover this and rarely will a manufacturer’s warranty. You would normally have to pay for any repairs to the item and will not get a replacement in the meantime. The current range of CareCo warranties certainly does cover accidental damage, a significant benefit. Using such devices every day will put them under tremendous strain; accidents can happen.
The More Expensive an Item, the More Expensive to Replace
With big-ticket mobility items with complex moving parts, mechanics, and electronics, things can go wrong. It can be expensive to repair these items. Therefore, before making a big purchase from us, you should consider a CareCo warranty. Consider this; what would cost you more in the long run, buying a new item, or the extended warranty? Warranties provide a great extra level of protection for vital, but expensive mobility aids. Therefore, we recommend them to our customers.
