The Lightest Just Got Lighter

When the Minimus arrived in CareCo showrooms a couple of years ago, it set new standards. Customers were astonished that so much comfort and performance could be packed into a scooter weighing just 17.8 Kg (40 lb) – that’s less than a packed suitcase.

The secret of the Minimus’ success is its aluminium frame. But now the new Micromus has gone a step better, adding a carbon fibre tiller that is just as strong but even lighter. The result? A mobility scooter that has all the benefits of the Minimus but that weighs in at a mere 15.4 Kg (34 lb).

No Compromises on Comfort, Performance or Safety

Make no mistake, lightweight does not mean flimsy. In recent decades, carbon fibre has been the go-to material for light weight and strength. You will find carbon fibre components in everything from spacecraft to Formula 1 cars to racing boats.

The carbon fibre tiller is mated to the same lightweight aluminium frame as the Minimus. It has the same sliding mechanism for simple folding that has made the Minimus so popular with users, and when folded up, it measures just 27cm wide and 69cm long (11”x27”).

On the go, the Micromus boasts the sort of comfort, performance and features that you might only expect to find on a bulkier scooter. These include the following:
