Product Update: The QS4 has now been replaced by the Li-Tech Velo folding scooter

We are proud to announce the arrival of the first QS4 Electric Folding Scooter to the CareCo HQ today, and we were all captivated by its elegance and the ease at which it unfolded itself. What impressed us first was not the scooter itself, but how well it was packaged for delivery. Removing it from the box revealed the heavy duty travel case that each scooter comes with.

This case is designed to make transporting it from ground into a car boot, or into luggage racks on a train, much easier. It also offers some protection from bumps and scrapes, which helps protect the scooter and keep the splendid paint work is perfect condition.

The QS4 scooter comes in a choice of blue or red. It is by far the most attractive folding mobility scooter we have had the pleasure to test and review to date -we predict that this will be a big seller in 2019. Let’s look at some of its key features.

Fully Unfolds in 7 Seconds

The most important feature of any folding mobility scooter is how well the folding mechanism works. The QS4 scooter can be fully unfolded in just 7 seconds simply by pressing a button on the key fob.

Once unfolded, all you have to do is lift the seat back into position and check the tiller is at your preferred height. As well as being easy to unfold, and fold up again, the scooter comes with a large, sturdy seat with armrests, which provides both comfort and support. The QS4 can carry passengers up to 19st 10lbs (125kg). It certainly feels solid and stable all round.

Lightweight Lithium Battery

The QS4 is powered by a lightweight 25.9V/10Ah lithium battery pack that can either be charged on the scooter, or removed and charged with the charger cable provided.

Lithium ion batteries are used to power state-of-the-art electric cars, such as the Tesla Model 3, so you can be sure this scooter will stay the distance while you are out exploring. Equally impressive is that battery pack is so light and easy to remove. This means the battery can be charged without removing the whole scooter from your car boot, which is perfect for those who mostly drive somewhere before using the scooter.

Of course, the size of the battery is not what concerns most riders, it’s the power. The QS4 has 120W motor with a top speed of 6km/h (3.7mph). It can cover a maximum range of 15km (9.3 miles), and if you carry a fully charged spare battery in a storage bag you can travel over 18 miles in a single trip.

Overall, the QS4 electric folding scooter looks more stylish and performs better than its predecessors. Early indications are that this will be one of the top selling folding mobility scooters this year, and a leading lithium mobility scooter.
