We’re very proud to announce the launch of our newest mobility scooter: the Li-Tech Cybex. With its design being the recipient of the iF Award For Excellent Design, the Cybex is the perfect combination of style, performance and functionality.

A Sustainable Mobility Scooter

The Cybex was designed with three core principles in mind: efficiency, portability and practicality. These three principals are at the very heart of modern mobility scooters – in essence, can you go further? Can you take it with you? And can it handle whatever life throws your way?

With these three principles in mind, one unifying goal was established – sustainability. Is it possible to make a mobility scooter that really goes the distance, while having as minimal an impact on the environment as possible? From there, focus was turned to creating a scooter that truly embodied the spirit of ‘sustainable mobility’, without compromising on the user experience.

The result is the Li-Tech Cybex!

High quality construction

By combining these two lightweight but incredibly durable materials, the Cybex offers exceptional strength without the weight of steel, which makes it easier to lift, store away and means it can easily manoeuvre in tighter spaces.

But the magnesium and aluminum provide more benefits: as the seat frame is made from magnesium, it contributes to a higher strength-to-weight ratio, which means the Cybex can better withstand prolonged use.

The scooter’s aluminium frame also provides superior corrosion resistance, so there’s no need to worry about the the British damp weather ruining your scooter.

Design and function - powered by lithium

One of the key focuses of the iF Award For Excellent Design this year was sustainability. All submitted products were judged, among other things, on the quality of the product’s eco-friendly materials and how it has been optimised for energy efficiency.

As the demand for responsible innovation grows further, the Cybex stands apart from other scooters. We’ve already spoken about the Cybex’s aluminium frame and magnesium seat frame, but its lithium-ion (Li-on) battery is another sustainable addition that makes the Cybex stand out.

The Cybex is not the only scooter we sell that has a lithium-ion battery. But when coupled with the magnesium and aluminium frames – its the cherry on top. Lithium-ion batteries push our mobility scooters further than lead-acid batteries.

Award-winning

The Cybex’s design is the recipient of the coveted iF Award For Excellent Design. This year, the jury, made up of 131 international experts, judged all submitted products on five main categories:

  • Idea
  • Form
  • Function
  • Differentiation
  • Sustainability

The Cybex was highlighted further for its portability, practicality and efficiency. For us, the iF Design Award is a badge of honour and a proud new member of our mobility scooter range.

Innovation at its heart

The Cybex is built on innovation, designed to make everyday mobility simpler and more effortless for the user.

Its smart auto-folding mechanism folds the scooter at the touch of a button – perfect for users who want independence and easy storage. As one of the lightest auto-folding scooters on the market, weighing just 23kg, the Cybex is easy to lift into your car boot.

In addition to this, the Cybex also comes with front suspension, a padded seat, and a height-adjustable tiller bar, so there’s greater comfort, stability, and control on every journey, while the innovative keyless ignition eliminates the need to fumble with a physical key, perfect for those with dexterity issues.
