Are you looking for a new wheelchair? You have certainly come to the right place. We aim to supply the widest possible choice for our customers. You will see that the range of CareCo wheelchairs suits all budgets and personal preferences. Whether you require a self-driven or attendant driven, we are confident we have the model for you. Here is just a small selection of our budget models.

Self-Driven Manual Budget CareCo Wheelchairs

Optima Self-Propelled WheelchairSelf-driven wheelchairs are exactly what they sound like – the user propels the vehicle. These have typically larger wheels on which the user can get a good grip. They are highly manoeuvrable and light on their wheels, allowing you to cover distances quickly and conveniently.

Optima Self-Propelled Wheelchair  - Choosing a new CareCo wheelchair can be complex, especially if you are changing your model. The Optima makes a great first wheelchair or a superb backup for other people. It’s our most cost-effective, perfect for those looking for a great budget model. It’s lightweight for easy transport and collapsible. Much about it feels like a transport wheelchair but it is more substantial than that and ideal for longer-term use.

Attendant-Driven Manual Budget CareCo Wheelchairs

Attendant-driven wheelchairs or transit wheelchairs as they are now more commonly known require two people – the user and somebody behind to push it. The wheels are smaller and the wheelbase thinner. They can be driven manually but they are not designed for prolonged use of this method, being ideal for moving indoors.

CareCo Aspire - With smaller wheels, the Aspire is not for self-driving. It is made from aluminium, meaning it’s lightweight and sturdy. Small castor wheels mean it is highly manoeuvrable both indoors and outdoors. Easy swing away legs complete what is a great set of features for people with limited mobility but those who can still walk very short distances.

Travel Budget CareCo Wheelchairs

Although these are always the cheapest models in a range, they are not necessarily the best type for everyone. For people who require transportability and quick transit (between a home and a car for example), they are ideal.

CareCo Xpedition wheelchair - One of the best and most flexible travel wheelchairs in our range, this model is designed with convenience in mind. Here, we’ve gone for portability. It weighs just 12kg or 26lb, about the weight of a two-year-old child! It’s fully collapsible and will go into and out of most cars for easy use.

CareCo Aluminium Traveller - Slightly more expensive and substantial than the Freedom, it has several extra features that could convince you to buy this instead. It’s 13g, so almost as light as the Freedom model. It’s made from solid aluminium and will provide you with many years of happy use. Additionally, this model has security straps and puncture-proof wheels. This is perfect if you live at the end of a gravel lane.
